## Aquaforce RO features and figures



 

 

 



The Aquaforce RO brackish water treatment unit is particularly well-suited to off-site production in hard-to-reach areas, and is used in humanitarian contexts.

Based on reverse osmosis to treat dissolved salts, it enables the Aquaforce 2000 to be used to treat the salinity of certain sources.

#### Reverse osmosis:

The system can treat brackish water up to 20,000 ppm, with permeate quality within WHO standards < 2000 µS/cm.

- Production flow rate under nominal conditions: 1.1 m³/h
- Input flow between 1.6 and 2 m³/h, fed by an Aquaforce 2000

**Maximum inlet pressure:** 29.9 bar

**Raw water salt concentration:** 1-15 g/L at nominal flow rate of 1.1m3/h; 20 g/L “max” permissible

**HP pump power:** 2.2 kW

**Safety features:** Wired safety features: no PLC required for station operation; pressure switches and valves guarantee pressure below 30 bar; safety nets to protect user.

**Quality control:** integrated on-line salinometer

**Weight/volume of Aquaforce 2000 + Aquaforce RO package:** 4.5m3, 800 kg on 5 pallets (manual handling possible).

## Reverse osmosis



 

 

 



Reverse osmosis is a water treatment process based on the pressure of water forced through a semi-permeable membrane. In particular, it can be used to desalinate brackish water by eliminating dissolved salts.

#### Senegal, March 2024

In a rural region of Senegal, two desalination experts have installed a drinking water treatment plant to provide the population with access to quality water.

#### Pyrénées-Orientales, January 2023

Deployment of the Aquaforce RO was tested and validated in January 2023, during a field trial carried out in the Pyrénées-Orientales region of France. The deployment, which took place in conditions close to humanitarian field conditions, validated the station's deployability. The unit is now operational.
