At the Group's headquarters in Aubervilliers, Veolia's Chairman and CEO, Antoine Frérot, has presented prizes to the 4 winners: selected from 128 candidates from all over the world (one third from abroad: Bulgaria, Canada, Senegal, Gabon, Cameroon, Benin, Hungary, Germany), they receive a financial endowment to help them carry out their project.

- ### 1st Prize: “[Les Recyclettes](/en/supported-projects/urban-composters-connecting-consumers-and-producers "Urban composters connecting consumers and producers")” from the student association RECUP’ at the [Université de Bordeaux](https://www.u-bordeaux.com/):

With its "Les Recyclettes" project, the association Recup' (Université de Bordeaux) recovers organic waste in urban areas by distributing Bokashi composters that transform the waste into compost. It won 1st prize.

With the Rev-machine, the association will enable the villagers of Liên Son 2, in southern Vietnam, to use a grinder, extruder, injection press and compressor to treat plastic waste.

Envol Vert received third prize for its awareness raising and agroforestry project in the rural provinces of Chanchamayo and Satipo in Peru.

- ### The Public’s Award rewards the association [Sea Plastics](/en/supported-projects/improving-scientific-knowledge-about-microplastic-pollution-marine-environments "Improving scientific knowledge about microplastic pollution in marine environments") at [AgroParisTech](http://www2.agroparistech.fr/Presentation-of-AgroParisTech.html):

Finally, the public’s prize, awarded following an open online vote, went to **Sea Plastics (AgroParisTech)**, which is sampling microplastics in the Mediterranean to improve scientific knowledge of this still poorly understood form of pollution.
